“Fort Worth Discovery Tour” Partnership with Nagaoka, Japan

Dear friends with an affinity for global affairs and/or Japan,   On August 20^th at 7:30pm CST, the amazing Carlo Capua will be presenting a “Fort Worth Discovery Tour” on behalf of Fort Worth Sister Cities International.  This event will be entirely in Japanese in partnership with our Sister City friends in Nagaoka, Japan (Niigata Prefecture), and feature Fort Worth educator Dr. Michael Roemer and Nagaokan-turned-Texan Shigeaki “Shaggy” Meguro.  He will talk Fort Worth culture, food, education, history, COVID, and explain how Juneteenth became the USA’s newest federal holiday thanks to the persistence of a 94 year-old lifelong Fort Worth resident and hometown hero, Opal Lee.   Since it will be virtual, we invite you to share with your network and join us.  See attached flyer with details.   宜しくお願いします。
