On September 22, 2021, the cities of Omaha, Nebraska, USA and Carlentini, Sicily, Italy signed a friendship city agreement to unite their communities and create strong bonds of friendship. Carlentini and Nebraska share a deep-rooted relationship going back several generations. They intend on strengthening their long standing bonds between the cities of Omaha and Carlentini through culture, technology, education, exchanges, and travel opportunities.
