Santa Catarina is looking for a U.S. partner state that will complement their growing economy.

Swieqi, Malta Swieqi is a residential town located in the North East part of Malta. It is a few minutes from Sliema and Paceville and St. Julian’s. Originally, the area attracted the upper classes who built large and luxurious townhouses. The town is home to 10,000 people with a grown service sector and English language schools. They are looking for a U.S. partner focused on music, education, arts and culture, and youth exchanges.

Oranjestad, Aruba Oranjestad is a unique blend of old and new that lends a distinctive charm to Aruba’s capital.  A bustling harbor city, Oranjestad’s streets and malls are dotted with international luxury retailers, diverse boutiques, and jewelry stores.   Oranjestad is home to the Universiteit van Aruba, the Xavier University School of Medicine and the island’s largest secondary school, Colegio Arubano.

Tetovo, Macedonia Situated on the crossroads of Europe and Asia in the Northwest of Macedonia, Tetovo enjoys both rich and diverse cultural heritage and beautiful outdoor spaces in the surrounding Sharr Mountains. The Municipality of Tetovo is interested in developing a sister city relationship with a community in the U.S. that is focused on cultural, academic, municipal, and economic development exchanges.

Çankaya, Turkey Çankaya is the central metropolitan district of the city of Ankara, the capital of Turkey, and is the home of the President of Turkey. The area is also home to many of the capital’s embassies, government departments, and best-known landmarks. The community is interested in a sister city relationship in the U.S. with a focus in social services, energy and climate, culture, tourism, and gender equality.

Eskişehir, Turkey Eskişehir is located on the banks of the Porsuk River where it overlooks the fertile Phrygian Valley and is home to various manufacturing companies and two prominent universities. Eskişehir is interested in developing a new sister city relationship with a community in the U.S. with a focus in cultural, municipal, business and trade, and academic exchanges.

Versailles, France The historic City of Versailles is home to more than 80,000 residents in the great Paris region. The community is looking to pair with a prominent U.S. community to work together in opening a new museum focused on the historical connection in U.S. history with the singing of the Treaty of Paris.

Jose P. Rizal, Philippines Jose P. Rizal is a first class municipality located on the serene provincial island of Palawan and is home to more than 40,000 residents. A community rich with culture, Rizal is interested in developing a U.S. sister city relationship to facilitate cultural and economic exchanges.

Guiyang, China The City of Guiyang is home to 4.3 million residents and is comprised of seven urban districts. As the economic and commercial hub of the Guizhou Province, the city is at the retail and wholesale center with companies like Wal-Mart, Carrefour, RT-Mart, and several others. The City of Guiyang is looking to establish a relationship with a community in the U.S. to foster an economic and cultural partnership.

Cabedelo, Brazil Cabedelo is located in the João Pessoa metropolitan region and serves as a strategic resource for the maritime and port activities for the region. With over 60,000 residents, Cabedelo is a host to a tropical climate, natural beauty, and countless opportunities for diverse business opportunities. Cabedelo is looking to develop a sister city relationship with a community with similar geographical features and population.
